MANY people are interested in hardware, so I thougt it would be nice to display most of it.

I am very happy with the Nikon D70, 6MP is enough for most needs, but I miss the integration of older Nikkors without CPU, and the impossibility of raising the mirror before making a shot.

I read that the D200 offers it all, so maybe one day....

But the D40 even misses the in-camera AF-drive motor, and therefore can only use the unaffordable AFS-lenses, so I guess I could do worse...

My favourite piece of equipment is a simple bean bag for stability, by the way...

The Maksutov MTO 11CA 1000mm mirror lens.

It allows me to capture the most distant animals. Furthermore it is not nearly as heavy and expensive as a "normal" long telephoto lens. So I often take it with me!

and the Rubinar 500 5.6 Mirror lens.

It is a very robust and basic design, (both are), this baby has already seen my screwdrivers too, because I had to adjust the infinity stop for use with the 11mm extension tube.
